Le Cirque

Hey peeps! And we’re back at Living Arts Dance Studio for a quick photo shoot! While we totally intended this to be a very dance based photo shoot, you will soon see how that not quite work out as well as we hoped it would. Namely because the dance theme we were going for was Jazz and let’s just say we truly have no idea what Jazz dancing is like.

So below is our latest rendition of not-so-Jazz but more Circus/Carnival meets every other dance styles we know, which let’s be honest here… truly isn’t much.

If you’ve been an avid follower of this blog, you’ll know that I love all things stripes & colours, or if you’re not an avid follower you now have the divine knowledge of my love for stripes & colours. Putting that aside, spotting this gorgeous calf length dress was a dream come true. Everything about it screamed lovely! From the simple spaghetti strap top and it’s simple horizontal lines, to the delicious cinch at the waist the pleats beautifully into a waterfall of colours. Ah, so this is what it feels like to be turned inside out by a beautiful dress. And lemme just mention, that you can wear this dress both front & back!

Betty Boop.
A few of my regulars have mentioned that they worry that long dress would be too long for them, and that I should bring in an array of short dresses as well. So I have thusly done so! This adorable striped dress is totally adorable and too cute for words. The basic sleeveless front that flares beautifully into a circle skirt is just to die for, not forgetting the adorable peekaboo back! This dress is perfect for anyone 165cm and under, so all you lucky people, go for it while you can! :)

Like a doll.
For those of you who don’t know me, let’s just say that getting up those 3 benches were quite a feat for me as I’m terrified of heights and it absolutely did not help that when you’re taller the ground just seems so much further away, throw that in together with a case of klutz, what you’ll be getting is a disaster waiting to happen. Thankfully, none of that happened and we managed to shoot this fun ribbed dress with no accidents. The dress is made out of thick quality ribbed cotton, and while it does feel a little heavy when you hold it in your hands, I assure you when you put it on it’s not and it gives the dress a lovely drop that adds to the skirt’s swing. If you do done this dress for a night of dancing, be sure to wear pretty panties as the skirt of this dress will fly like how you’ve see in the dance competitions.
